Chargeback Period

The chargeback period is the time period, usually stated in number of days, from the processing date during which the issuer may initiate a chargeback. The chargeback period may vary between credit card companies, but the general industry standard is between 30-60 days. Cardholders should carefully review each billing statement and make sure to dispute any incorrect charges on their account within the chargeback period.
